JeongHo Park

JeongHo Park is a media artist who generates visual, sonic, physical, and spatial experiences through algorithms and programming. Rather than making finished images or predetermined experiences, he builds generative systems in which autonomous elements interact according to computational rules, so that forms and behaviours keep changing.

The elements of his works arise from interactions between the audience and the computer, and from diverse data and environmental conditions. Digital images and painterly expression, physical objects and robotics, and sound are combined within a single system. In particular, he extends the structural and narrative principles of algorithmic composition into visual and spatial work, treating code not simply as a production tool but as an artistic material and a method of creation.

He is currently based in Germany, and his works have been shown in Seoul, New York, São Paulo, Cologne, Opole, Munich, Luxembourg, and Trier.
